Why This Matters to Me
I am doing this survey because I have been frustrated with my personal experience and the experience of others I’ve coached in obtaining accommodations in the workplace.
I am hopeful that the results of this study could provide a good business case for providing accommodations for employees with disabilities and for training supervisors on how to support employees with disabilities.
This study could also identify if some types of disabilities are less likely to get supportive accommodations, which could help organizations know which types of disabilities may need more support in the accommodations process and future research focus on how to get more supportive accommodations.
